Delhi voter-roll revision faces a digitisation test

Delhi’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls had to be rescheduled after only around 15 per cent of enumeration forms had been digitised. Booth-level officers were to continue house visits, with the draft roll moved to August 17 and the final roll scheduled for October 19.\n\nThe process is more than a paperwork exercise. Residents need time to verify entries, report omissions and correct errors, while officials need enough staff and reliable digital systems to process the forms. People who move frequently, older residents and those needing assistance can be especially vulnerable when deadlines shift without clear local guidance.\n\nDelhi Chronicle will follow the revision through public notices, correction access and the final roll—not just the announcement of a new date.
